Oral Sedation

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is the administration of a sedative drug that is used to reduce the patient’s anxiety while undergoing a dental procedure. Most people try to avoid dental care out of fear of pain. We understand this, that’s why we offer an absolutely pain-free, safe and welcoming dental experience. Imagine being able to accomplish all your dental care without pain, smile with confidence and chew your food without pain.

We understand that dental fear may cause you to keep pushing dental treatment further into the future. Most dental problems don’t hurt until they reach a critical point. Regular check-ups and early detection of possible dental problems mean fewer visits and less cost over time! We specialize in providing a worry-free dental experience. We find the sedation option that works just right for you and will help you avoid complicated treatment in the future.

Types of Sedation

IV SEDATION

Many patients benefit from IV sedation: calming medications flow through an IV before starting any treatment. It’s administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist. During IV sedation you’ll be responsive to us, but unaware of treatment.

ORAL SEDATION

Oral sedation works well for mild anxiety. Before your treatment, you will take a small pill. Our sedative medication is FDA approved with a long history of safety. You will stay awake and responsive during treatment in a comfortable, relaxed state.

NITROUS OXIDE

This sedative reduces anxiety and helps you ease through treatment. You’ll breathe odorless gas mixed with oxygen through a nose mask. Nitrous Oxide can be adjusted up or down during treatment.
